I will look at the influence of Charlie Christian on Blues and Western Swing guitarists. I will make comparisons of Charlie to Blues guitarist Lafayette Thomas, Carl Hogan, Tiny Grimes, and Eldon Shamblin. I will isolate phrases that are derivative of Charlie, but executed uniquely by the mentioned guitarists.
