This Phrasing lesson will focus on inserting chord stabs in your lead playing.  A contemporary Jump Blues device that is heard in Kid Ramos' playing as well as Hollywood Fats.

This video moves from the chord tone approach to the pentatonic approach as the music and Blues changed in the 1960's.  Our focus will be on the feels that were relevant and the artist solo approach.

This month we are looking at arpeggios that are common with Charlie Christian's soloing.  These ninth Chord lines inherently sound musical and work well over two measure phrases.  I like utilizing them on bridge sections specifically I-IV-II-V and III-VI-II-V.
