This lesson looks at some of Tiny's signature lines that are heard on many other of his songs.  ie. "Call of the Wild" and "Tiny's Tempo".  I will include the tab, the song, and I'm using Ireal pro medium swing C-Jam Blues as my practice track.  The tempo is around 195bpm. 

This lesson will focus on the West Coast Blues Guitarist Roy Gaines.  This short solo contains elements of West Coast Jump soloing in the 1950's. The song "Loud Mouth Lucy" is a tune recorded my multiple artists of the time and I will include the version sung by "Eddie Mack"  If we compare other pioneering guitarists we see phrasing similarities between Jimmy Nolen, Pete Lewis, and Roy Gaines to mention a few.  Roy like most of his guitar peers was originally from Texas and migrated to California.  I think like many others T-Bone Walker was his primary influence on the guitar. 

This lesson will profile some of Mickey Baker's style through his song "Rib Joint"

We will be looking at Clarence Garlow and two choruses of his song "She's So Fine"  Standard ideas from the period, and also hear elements of "Teddy Bunn" in his solo.  

We will study this under rated guitar player.  He is known as an arranger, but is a fantastic guitarist that reminds me of Teddy Bunn.

Tiny plays a 16 bar solo that shows off his solo preferences on a Rhythm Changes.  It also is pretty brisk to say the least.    The chromatic lines are worth looking at and harvesting.
